The verb “homestead” is doing a lot of work, these days I use the word “survive”! Haha! Thanks for the reblog. The chickens have really become second class citizens around here, rude awakening for the birds. I feel bad for them but try to bring them treats when I can.
We have chickens, and came to the same conclusion re organic. We use a deodorant spray to prevent our home, which is not in the boondocks, from smelling like chickens
